Yarn Owl, a group comprised of local musicians, will fills the lawns of the University of Idaho with its unique music this afternoon to celebrate Earth Day. The concert kicks off at 3 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m. Check out more information on the event here.
Yarn Owl started in 2007 when Javier Suarez, Tim Meinig, Tyler Armour, and Ted Powers all met while working at KZUU 90.7 FM at WSU. The musicians have infused 60s and 70s pop with a bit of indie style. Visit the Yarn Owl official site to listen to some of the band’s popular songs.
The band currently has a 7-song tape out entitled “Tiny Dots” and plan on releasing its 6-song EP, “Stay Warm,” sometime this summer. For updates on the band, become a Facebook fan-page.
